So much potential; so little shared. The article missed many of the more important issues about diamond "certificates". like:
a) certficates are opinions only. The same diamond often results in two completely different grades.
b) certificates come with no guarentee . They dont even guarentee their grading!(AGS is exception)
c) Some "labs" consistently overgrade their diamonds; hence their well deserved "special order certificate" status in the trade.
d) Which lab certifications are most consistent and therefore more valueable.
e) "Certs" tell less than 1/2 the story. Basing a purchasing decision solely on "certification" is absurd. Might as well choose your spouse by reviewing their drivers licenses.
