When getting ready to make a marriage proposal most men choose a traditional diamond engagement ring with a round stone since this shape offers the guarantee of fire and brilliance. They do not always understand that it’s possible to purchase a more unique diamond engagement ring that offers just as much sparkle and shine than one with a round cut. If you want to ask your girlfriend for her hand in marriage and you would like something unique that still has plenty or fire, you should choose princess cut diamond engagement rings.

New mom jewelry has always been popular, I am in my late forties and my father always gave my mom a gift of jewelry when she had another baby. For my elder brother he gave her an eternity ring, for me he gave her a marquisette watch, and when my younger brother was born, I don’t know what he gave her. I didn’t much care as I didn’t think she had done that great a job, pushing out this new baby who took most of the attention away from me, her little girl!

It is tradition in many families to give new mom jewelry to mothers who have recently given birth. The tradition dictates that the husband and (hopefully) father of the child is the person responsible for this. My father did it and mummy received an eternity ring with her first child a watch with me and a gold locket with my younger brother. Unfortunately all of this jewelry was stolen in a robbery. I wish they had stolen my brother and left the jewelry, but no such luck!
