The old Egyptians are great devotee of jewelry and adorned themselves with as much jewelry as was possible. Egyptian jewelry was not just a method of improving one’s looks. It included symbols that would provide the wearer with well-being and defense, ranged from motifs of beetle|scarab), lotus, snake and eye. Many of the items of jewelry took the form of amulets which were believed to bring the protection of the sun god to the person who wore them.
